Barcelona Ready for First Game at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend
The club confirmed they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in the Spanish league over two years since relocating so building work could begin.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside under the licence granted. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.
Recent Activities
Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium on 7 November. The club said approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body to host the next European match facing Eintracht next month in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
